Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the Whiteboard Android application (“Whiteboard”, “the app”), published by SkIndie Dev (“we”, “us”, “our”), Tamil Nadu, India.
By installing or using Whiteboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Whiteboard on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and to the Google Play Terms of Service.
You may not:
- copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the app;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
- rent, lease, sublicense, sell or redistribute the app;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices;
- use the app to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or attempt to circumvent its purchase or feature-limit mechanisms.
The app, its design, code and branding remain our property. These Terms grant you a licence, not ownership.
2Your content is yours
You own everything you create in Whiteboard — your boards, drawings, notes, text, imported images and PDFs, voice notes and recordings (your “Content”).
We claim no ownership of, and no licence to, your Content. Your Content is stored on your own device; we do not upload it, host it, or have any means of accessing it. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any material you import — for example that you own or are licensed to use images and PDFs you bring into a board.
3Your Content is your responsibility to back up
This is important. Whiteboard stores your Content locally on your device. We hold no copy, and therefore:
- We cannot recover your boards if you delete them, uninstall the app, lose or reset your device, or if the device fails.
- Boards moved to Trash are permanently deleted after 30 days and cannot be recovered afterwards.
You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups. The app provides .wbz
board export for this purpose, and Android’s own device backup may include app data if you
have it enabled.
4Free tier, ads, and Whiteboard Pro
Whiteboard is free to use with certain limits (for example on the number of boards, pages and layers, and on export formats). The specific limits are shown in the app and may change.
Ads. Free users are shown ads supplied by Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that temporarily unlock a feature, and occasional interstitials after an export. Ads are not shown on the drawing canvas.
Rewarded unlocks grant temporary access to a feature category for a limited period (currently 30 minutes). They are a convenience, not a purchase, and confer no ongoing entitlement. Ad availability is controlled by Google and is not guaranteed.
Whiteboard Pro removes ads and lifts the free-tier limits. It is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
5Purchases, billing, renewal and refunds
All purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not process payments and never receive your payment details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Google Play Store under Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period. You keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Lifetime purchase is a one-time payment granting Pro access for as long as the app remains available and functional on your device. It is not a promise of perpetual service, future features, or indefinite platform support.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy and the consumer law of your jurisdiction. Contact us at snewdeveloper@gmail.com if something has gone wrong and we will help where we can, but we cannot issue refunds directly.
- Price changes will be notified as required by Google Play and applicable law, and will not take effect for an existing subscription period already paid for.
If a subscription lapses, features that require Pro stop being available. Content you created while subscribed remains yours and stays on your device, though features needed to edit it may be limited until you resubscribe.
6Third-party services
Whiteboard uses Google services — Play Billing, AdMob, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, and ML Kit. Your use of the app is also subject to those services’ own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make.
When you share or export a board to another app, that app’s own terms and privacy practices apply to the file from that point on.
7Availability and changes to the app
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, and may stop supporting older versions of the app or older Android releases. We aim to avoid changes that make existing boards unreadable, but we do not guarantee perpetual availability of any particular feature.
8Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whiteboard is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss, or that handwriting recognition, text extraction, or shape recognition will be accurate.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.
10Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Content, your misuse of the app, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11Termination
You may stop using Whiteboard at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, the licence in Section 1 ends; Sections 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 and 13 survive.
12Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where significant, surfaced in the app. Continuing to use Whiteboard after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts at Tamil Nadu, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there where such law entitles you to.
